scheduled doubleheader with the White Sox was postponed at 12:30.
The Red Sox then grabbed the 5 o'clock train for Cleveland. The
Red Sox will play 16 games in 19 days on their road trip.
Birdie Tebbetts and Stan Spence did no accompany the team. They will
leave tomorrow.
The Red Sox batted .281 on their homestand. Bobby Doerr batted
.333, but with only one homer. The Sox had an 8-3 record on their
stay, but gained no ground on the Indians. |
