June 2, 1946 ... Rain washed out the doubleheader between the Red Sox and the Chicago White Sox at Fenway Park.  The games will be made up tomorrow which is a scheduled off day.

Coach Del Baker doesn't like the situation because he feels it kills the Sox momentum, but manager Joe Cronin welcomes the extra day that Dom DiMaggio has off to help his leg get better.  Trainer Win Green noted that Hal Wagner who jammed his wrist against the backstop post while chasing a foul ball.
