“DIARY OF A WINNER”

THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO, PART 2 ...
A POWERFUL RED SOX TEAM FAILS
IN THE WORLD SERIES ...

June 1, 1946 ... More than 2000 fans were disappointed when today's game was called off just before 1PM.  Earl Johnson missed a presentation from the local Swedish-American society because of the cancellation of the game.

Trainer Win Green was busy working on Dom DiMaggio's recurring muscle pull in his leg.  Eddie Pellagrini has a charley horse and Mace Brown's sore shoulder all had to be given attention.  Tex Hughson also has a sprained finger in his pitching hand.
