THE 1914 "MIRACLE" BRAVES

April 20, 1914 ... Games postponed ... Although the sun was shining, the Phillies and Braves could not play, because a heavy shower soaked the field and made to infield muddy.  It was finally decided to call the game when a small army of men with brooms and sponges failed to make any impression on the condition of the field.
