“DIARY OF A WINNER”

THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO, PART 9
"IT AIN'T OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER"...

August 7, 1986 ... No game scheduled ... Mike Greenwell was delighted Wednesday with his first hit of the season since being recalled from Pawtucket.

Neither the Red Sox nor Clemens have gotten word from the American League over a possible fine or suspension as the result of the Sox pitcher's incidental bumping of umpire Greg Kosc in Chicago July 30. The matter is still under study by AL president Bobby Brown, whose office will make an announcement only if Clemens is suspended.
