“DIARY OF A WINNER”

MGR CLARK GRIFFITH

THE LAST ONE FOR 86 YEARS

April 29, 1918 ... An overcast sky and a threat of rain an hour or two before game time caused the Red Sox management to call the game off.  It rained a little around 3PM but it did not prevent Manager Griffith from giving his men a spirited workout.

Infielder Frank Truesdale has been acquired by the Red Sox.  He has played second base for the Browns and Yankees and several International League clubs.
