June 25, 1916 ... No game scheduled ... Babe Ruth hit 60 year old Thomas Cunningham with his car in Cambridge as Cunnigham stepped off the sidewalk in front of Ruth's car.  Babe was in the car with his wife and they helped Cunningham to Cambridge Relief Hospital where it was determined that Cunningham had suffered a broken hip.

Up to this date, 275,500 fans have seen baseball games in Boston this year.  The Red Sox have outdrawn the Braves with an attendance of 195,700 fans coming to games at Fenway Park  The Braves have drawn 79,800 fans for an average of 5627 per game.  3500 fans must enter each game to pay Braves' operating expenses plus salaries.
